Football (Flag)
In baseball we really like to reccommend Little league so you can progress in a organization. Teens can participate in travel ball.
In basktball recreation and church league basketball is great for younger kids while AAU is more competitive and better for older kids.
Flag football is usually part of a league, and you can continue in that league every season. But PAL and other contact football organizations offer a little league like system but for football.
For very young kids, Soccer Shots is recommended. Then Charlotte Junior Soccer is good for kids in the 5-8 age group. After that most kids join club and competitive soccer programs.

AGES 3-5
Soccer Shots, Charlotte Junior Soccer, Church League, and YMCA basketball are recommended. For football NFL Youth, YMCA, and Eastway Rec. are recommended. For baseball, Little League and Tee ball are recommended.
AGES 6-9
Kids might want to get more competitive, but it is still also ok to say in recreation leagues. Rec leagues include Charlotte Junior, Eastway Rec, or the YMCA. For competitive leagues, a travel or AAU team is recommended. These include Stampede Baseball, Charlotte Dragons, or Charlotte Metro.
Teens/Tweens
Travel ball, AAU, and club soccer are highly recommended if they want to take their sport to the next level. But if your kid just wants to stay active, they can continue in recreation leagues. There is no shame in participating in recreation leagues. All people should have fun enjoy sports no matter what.
Our beginning
Hi! My name is Sam Thompson. I am a student at Piedmont IB Middle School. This is my community project. My goal is to connect people and the community through sports. My original idea was to create an event for the community, but I realized it would make more of an impact if I connected kids to professionally run local organizations that give children in the area the tools they need to excel and have fun through sports. I also thought this resource would help parents find the organization that is the right fit for their children.
